By Virtue of Schedule 3 of the School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013, The Local Authority is required to consult on changes to provision at Maintained Schools including the reduction in Admission Numbers (AN).

The proposed AN will apply to admissions to the relevant age group (the normal year of entry) commencing from the beginning of the school year 2026/27 and for any subsequent school year. Notice is hereby given for the following changes:

School Current AN Proposed AN
Gillingham School 280 270

The reason for proposing lower AN is to set a level which more accurately reflects the number of local catchment demand and enables the governing body to plan more effectively for organisational and budgetary needs. Admissions to the schools will be in accordance with the admissions policy.
