Why should you get involved?

The Youth Voice Team offer a range of activities and opportunities so that children and young people can choose to take part in a way that suits them.

When you belong in the Youth Voice space, you will;

Develop new skills and build your confidence
Work with important decision makers
Create change for other children and young people
Have fun!

You get to be the change you wanna see, you don’t end up waiting around for other people who aren’t in your situation trying to solve things for you, you can actually go out there and do the things you know need to be done. I've not been involved for very long and I've already had so many opportunities

New Belongings Project with Care Leavers

We asked: With the help of Coram Voice, we have asked care leavers every 2 years about their wellbeing. We have now completed 2 surveys like this over the last 4 years.

You said: You told us the priorities that you wanted to work with us on.

We did: We have worked with you to shape our action plan and meet regularly with care leavers who check the progress of the plan.

Young Commissioners

We asked: Children and young people with lived experience of advocacy and independent visitors, what they need from this support.

You said: You told us what is important.

We did: What you said helped to shape the questions which were asked to organisations interested in doing the work. We trained you to evaluate and score the presentations, helping to choose the winning bid.
