The Pineapple Project - Young Person's Safety Survey
Overview
The Pineapple Project was established in Weymouth, Dorset in 2022 following group discussions with young people about their experiences of harm in their local community. The project has developed ways to keep young women safe, including the recruitment of Community Guardians at local businesses and venues, these people are able to offer a safe haven for young women if they feel unsafe when out in their local area.
As part of The Pineapple Project's development, we are expanding across areas of Dorset, and we want to understand how young people feel about their communities.
Although The Pineapple Project is focused on harm that impacts young women, it is also important that we understand all young people’s views about their safety. We will use the information gathered from this survey to expand on the work of The Pineapple Project and any other initiatives that may be directed at young men or all young people.
