Weymouth Harbour General Directions - Consultation

Overview

To assist in the management of Weymouth Harbour, in compliance with the Port Marine Safety Code, the Council has obtained an extended and modernised power to issue general directions under the Weymouth Harbour Revision Order 2021, and new General Directions have been drafted.

This consultation on the proposed introduction of new General Directions is being carried out in accordance with article 22 of the Weymouth Harbour Revision Order 2021.

The consultation will run for 6 weeks, from Wednesday 28^th June to Wednesday 9^th August 2023.

What happens next

The six-week consultation on the Weymouth Harbour General Directions closed on 9^th August. The responses received will now be considered, and any necessary changes actioned, prior to submission to the Department for Transport.
