Voluntary and Community Sector Strategy
Overview
We need your help in developing Dorset Council’s new voluntary and community sector strategy.
Please fill in our quick 10 minute survey by 16th August 2023. Your feedback will help us improve how we work with local community and voluntary organisations.
Dorset has a strong and vibrant voluntary and community sector (VCS) - one that has evolved over recent years to reflect the changing needs of local communities.
Through the ‘Dorset Together’ network, we have worked with the voluntary and community sector to collectively develop and deliver vital support to residents and communities through the COVID-19 pandemic, the cost-of-living crisis, refugee resettlement and more.
Dorset Council is developing a new voluntary and community sector strategy with the aim of setting out how we will enable a thriving, sustainable and dynamic voluntary and community sector to flourish and help improve the lives of individuals and communities in Dorset over coming years.
We know that in many cases the voluntary and community sector is uniquely placed to help address local priorities and by working together we can achieve more by providing the right support at the right time to our communities.
To develop this strategy we need to explore how the council are currently working with the voluntary and community sector.
This survey is aimed at those working within or with voluntary and community sector organisations, including people who volunteer. Please complete this survey by 16th August 2023.
If you would like to complete the survey in an alternative format (such as a paper version), please email communities@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk
The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete.
