The Dorset Beaches [Studland] Anti-social Behaviour Related Public Spaces Protection Order 2025

Opens 24 Feb 2025

Closes 20 Apr 2025

Overview

The Dorset Beaches [Studland] Anti-social Behaviour Related Public Spaces Protection Order 2025 is a new Order which is intended to tackle issues of Anti-social Behaviour arising from camping on beaches in Studland.

The additional Order has been prepared in consultation with the various land owners including the National Trust.  The Order seeks to address the significant issues experienced over recent summers of ‘wild camping’ on Dorset Beaches which has given rise to a large increase in nuisance complaints, damage to property, accumulation of rubbish and human waste and destruction of natural habitat. The draft Order would make it an offence to camp on designated land, when asked to leave or without the permission of the landowner.
